Please take note: our retreat is a digital detox experience, requiring participants to part ways with their phones, computers, watches, Kindles, and any other electronic devices at the beginning of the retreat.

Typical Daily Schedule

  • 6:30 AM Stillness meditation

  • 8:00 AM Awakened body Movement*

  • 9:30 AM Morning porridge with fresh fruits

  • 11:30 AM Stillness Meditation + Life Awareness session

  • 13:00 PM Detoxifying juice

  • 2:00 PM Nourishing plant-based meal with fresh salad

  • 4:00 PM Tea and Sweet time

  • 5:00 PM Qigong session

  • 6:30 PM Vegetable soup

  • 7:30 PM Stillness Meditation + Evening Ritual

*Awakened Body Movement: A nature walk, pranayama breathwork, or inner yoga session—chosen based on the group dynamic, weather, and participants' abilities. This program is not centered on physical exercise. Movement practices are integrated to keep the body awake, vital, and nourished in support of your inner process, but they are not the essence of this journey. If you are primarily seeking physical activity or have specific expectations regarding it, this retreat may not be the right fit for you.

Arrival and Departure

  • Arrival: On the first day, please arrive by 5:00 PM. After a welcome drink and review of guidelines, the program will officially begin at 7:00 PM.

  • Departure: On the final day, our activities will conclude by 10:00 AM.

Getting to "The Essence" Retreat Centre in Obidos, Portugal

The easiest way to reach us is by flying into Lisbon (LIS) and taking an Uber directly to our location, which is about an hour’s drive from the airport (approximately €70).

Alternatively, you can take a direct bus or train to Caldas da Rainha, which is 20 minutes from our center. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, while the train journey takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes. From Caldas da Rainha, you can take an Uber to the retreat center for about €15.

Additional Option:

  • Rent a Car – Drive directly to the retreat.
